In 2020, ONE Archives began a project to process and preserve nine of its highest priority collections documenting LGBTQ communities in California. Several of these collections are now available to the public for research thanks to a generous grant from the California State Library and additional support from the ONE Archives Foundation.

The ONE Archives at the USC Libraries is excited to share the news that collections from two of the earliest gay and lesbian organizations in the United States, ONE Incorporated and Mattachine Society, are now accessible through the USC Digital Library, thanks to a generous grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities.

We are happy to announce that The Andy Warhol Foundation for Visual Arts has awarded the ONE Archives at the USC Libraries, in partnership with the California African American Museum, a grant to support the research for an exhibition tentatively titled, Queer Black California: Art and Politics.

The ONE Archives at the USC Libraries has been awarded a grant from the Getty Foundation to hire one undergraduate student for a summer Curatorial Research Internship.

Simone, a well-known fixture in the Los Angeles art and acting community has passed away at the age of 74.

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of dear friend, activist, feminist, artist, comedian, and all-around game-changer, Ivy Bottini, who was 94.
