The Coconut Teaszer was a Hollywood nightclub formerly located on the corner of Sunset Boulevard and Crescent Heights. The club, which hosted a wide variety of artists from almost every genre of music, was in operation from the mid/late 1980s, until the mid-2000s. “Does Your Mama Know?,” a weekly after-hours club which featured many queer and Chicanx punk bands which ran on Saturday nights from 1992 until 2003, was hosted for many years by the Coconut Teaszer.

Bands and singers that played there over the years included: Beck, DNA/Arto Lindsay, Ry Cooder, The Fall, Fear, Hole, Hüsker Dü, Imperial Butt Wizards, Los Lobos, Social Distortion, Mighty Joe Young, Nirvana, The Party Boys, The Residents, Sonic Youth, Urge Overkill, Wall of Voodoo, and Dwight Yoakam.
