Archival Intimacies: Curator Tour

Please join ONE Archives curator Alexis Bard Johnson for a tour of Archival Intimacies: Queering South/East Asian Diasporas on Saturday April 16 at 11am. The tour will begin outside in the parking lot before going inside to look at "Stranger Intimacy II" with works by Vinhay Keo, Prima Jalichandra-Sakuntabhai, and Bitter Party. The tour will continue upstairs to examine "Satrang at 25: Queer South Asian Diaspora(s) in Context," an exhibition that examines the history of Satrang, an organization supporting queer South Asian communities in Southern California and places its evolution in the context of broader queer diasporic histories.m Contemporary artist Pamila Matharu contextualizes these networks in relation to the Desh Pardesh (1988 - 2001) festival in Toronto. The tour is open to all and no reservations are necessary.
